    Hey guys any of you know what this is? I'm usually good at this but never seen this on property before. I can even ID some southern plants due to seed purchases. It looks like it could be in a maple catagory? Striped maple? I've never seen one this young..though I know neighbor has them. 20220806_110811.jpg

    Really? I have poplar all over our place and never seen this.

    Ha thank you it's Canadian poplar and quaking aspen we have. Been cutting all th huge mature ones to encourage the grouse population. Wonder where this came from.
    P.S. as long as it's not a cotten wood it's good to go. I read they are excellent bee trees... have to laugh I walk so much I can't remember where I took that pic. On our place.
