Last year I had flooding in this section and it never dried out. I have just got all the long grass cut last week and now have the brown dead grass to deal with. What's the best way to get this back full and green. I am going to plant more seeds this weekend. The two little pines are coming out and being moved.

    Thanks in advance

Germ you have had an issue with flooding in that spot in the past. I would plant a weeping willow in the low spot. You would be amazed how much water a willow drinks. Curse me later when the willow gets big and you have to mow around the roots.

Hit it with some Ironite and if that doesn't work just apply round up to the rest of the lawn to make it match.

Other option is to engineer a easy to get the water out of the area like grading or French drain first before reseeding. If not possible, Tim is right on!

Screw the yard. Build it up and put in a basketball court.

I would start at the root of the problem and fix the drainage and grade. Every other option will be a bandaid. The willow will definitely pull alot of water, but probably won't fix it.
