I get it, no need to explain. You have the right question someone you deem suspicious in your neighborhood, but this person who called the leo is a door knob because they called and reported on what they thought was a suspicious person in their neighborhood. The person was following the law and should have not been bothered. Makes perfect sense to me new. IMO the person has the right to make the call to police. The officer was not wrong for questioning this dude. The dude was not wrong in telling him to go pound sand, I am not breaking the law. These situations turn out better when LEO's are handling them. Because they have training and know the laws
You don't have the right to question someone in your neighborhood. I never said that, this is where comprehension comes into play. You are able to and it is not against the law. However, a person does have rights as far as not interacting with people or leo's. The call was for a man with a gun not a suspicious person. Watch any number of these videos you want and the majority of the time they say someone called saying a person is carrying a firearm. Simply carrying a firearm is not acting suspiciously or even illegal in most states but that's the way it is often treated and that is wrong imo. Yes if a person sees someone with a holstered weapon acting normally then proceeds to call the police to report it they are a door knob, you are free to disagree. I also feel that usually situations turn out better with leo's involved but it could be argued that that's not entirely true since there are plenty of circumstances where things have gone very badly with police involvement. Perhaps some of those situations(and technology) are what led to the initial trend of recording police.
I think skittles should have a warning label on the box, some thing along the line of...... "Warning assaulting an armed man while eating skittles could result in your death or serious injury" Then the cops could clear up some of constitutionality of these confrontations once and for all.
Ok you are able to question someone in your neighborhood, lol. Which means you can or have a right to question them, and they have the right to tell you to go pound sand. Semantics here I think, but I am sure you can comprehend the difference Just so I comprehend, the person is a door knob because she saw a person with a holster gun and assumed they were up to no good, which is why they called the police. So judging a person just because they holster a gun is wrong, correct? Good stuff, I now understand your views.
What's clear is you understand your version of my views. You don't have a "right" to question someone. It's not semantics at all. Your question and comments in this last post were already addressed and yes the person is still a door knob and yes it's cool if we don't agree. Constantly repeating that we don't agree is pretty lame though. Good day.
Perfect I got it. So a person who makes a judgment call on how a person looks, aka has a gun is a door knob and perhaps should mind their own business.
What's so wow? Something you disagreee with? While I'd agree the guy in this video was d-baggy and on a mission people videoing cops is nothing new and not surprisingly they sometimes capture disturbing footage. Not true? It's more than a little odd that you'd ask that about my username. I'm sure you were just curious, want me to e-mail you my criminal record? I am probably like most people I have encounterd awesome cops and I have encountered pricks. They are human I wouldn't expect much else. I prefer not having run-ins because even cool cops write tickets and I don't want any more and my opinion on the video is just that, my opinion. That doesn't make me a cop basher or hater and I am not trying to come off that way. I respect the job because I know there is ton of mess they deal with day in and day out that I don't see. I know there are guys on here in Law Enforcement and it was not my intent to offend.
