    Laundry:
Picked up some arm and hammer scent free laundry detergent down at the grocery store this past week. The baking soda should be good there and this season I am going to do better as far as scent elimination. I already play the wind and last year got crazy close to the bucks I was hunting. Anything to improve and I am all for it.

What do you use and why?
    Any responses are welcomed.

My wife makes something for my laundary....baking soda, arm and hammer and some other stuff. All I know is it doesn't have a smell and it gets my hunting clothes clean! Love that woman!

Hunter Specialties scent away. Never had a deer pick us out since we started using it. Never tried anything else because it has never failed us.

Use the scent killer detergent and spray. Wash clothes and before putting them in a big plastic tub I spray them down with the spray. Also through some of those white acorn scent waffers in with clothes. I guess it works most of the time I've had several deer within 15 yards of my stand this year.

I use DDW detergent & Spray....works great. Killed two down wind of me this year. A big Doe and an 8 point. Never new I was there..and I even let them get 20 yards of me before shooting. I guess it works pretty good so far...I've had a lot of deer right under me.

DDW or Scent Away detergents both seem to work for me; but don't see why the A&H wouldn't either.
I'm not much of a fan of the DDW dryer sheets though. I like the Scent Away "earth" smelling sheets, they do a better job of eliminating static and I like the "earth" scent; it smells authentic to me.

Atasko sport wash. Uv enhancer free and also scent eliminating with uv killers. Scent killer spray. Seems to work. I put that system in use and went rabbit hunting. I spooked my dog three times. He was so confused and I knew why. To be honest he didn't even recognize me and got a little aggressive until I spoke. He's not dumb either. He's a trained Weimaraner bird dog with one of the best sniffers I've seen in the field. That was when I knew I was doing it right.

Oh yeah and I always roll around in the dirt or hug a sage brush or pine tree depending on terrain.

I use the Arm & Hammer also. I am positive it helps along with spraying clothes with scent away type sprays but I still believe playing the wind is the only true absolute.

I wash my hunting cloths with scent killer gold detergent and then hang it outside to dry for about 8 hours (only do this if your out in the country.) I keep it ina scent safe bag then spray with scent away in the field.

I try to hunt the wind like said above...but where I live. It's almost impossible. The wind swirls around on the Cumberland Plateau where i'm at. DDW and have been busted in years. Even down wind....killed two big 8 points last year down wind from me as well. I just wash and shower before every hunt in DDW and use DDW spray.

I play the wind as best as I can, but that's never a sure bet.
The buck I killed this year, he came in to less than 10 yards dead down wind, and I ended up shooting him at about 20. I was using clothes washed in the DDW and dried w/ scent away fresh earth dryer sheets. I store them in plastic bins that I put a bead of silicone around the lip of the lids, in order to help keep them airtight.

I also shower in scent killer soap, wear scent killer deodorant, wear rubber boots, and a sort of random combination of Scent Away and Scent Blocker layering, with Under Armor scent control outer wear. Not sure which step is most important, all I know is put all together and it seems to work. Far as I know, I haven't been winded in the 4 seasons I've been using this stuff, and I've had some deer very close and definitely down wind.

I use Dead Down Wind shower soap, deoderrant, and scent spray. I have never been winded since I started using it. I shot a doe on Friday 20 yards down wind.
