Well It's Done Last night affter the night before carrying all my gear in to a funnel I found during the 2nd rutt last year in December. Got all steps up the night before and had very little on the second trip to carry in. +28 degrees and about 80% humidity made me drop 9 pounds. The second night with little to carry but more work actually as I had to take down and install a stand 45 yards away. I dropped another 4 pounds but after looking in the mirror this am before work I thought wow! starting to look slim & trim again. I'll tell ya what! @ the age of 58 it get's so much harder to do things! Ha Ha Ha serious guys. I vowed last night I was finished moving stands. So when Brett get's his butt up here next year for the rutt, everything will be set in gold for his hunt. The last 2 season's I've seen a 190+ buck and last year I saw the 200+ buck pass through this funnel. I'm set and hopefully the buck does his part. I hit 2 branches last year on this buck I call Double TX4 that enabelled him to walk away unscathed @13 yards. This year I moved my stand on top of the hill to see and not let my scent get to him before he comes off the feild from feeding. Rocky http://
To the 3 asking about any pics this year,no as I just put the cams in at this time, so I won't know a dang thing till my 1st hunt which will be early September. I'm hoping if not already he's a 200 buck ,if not, for sure this year he will be! Hunt safe and be good to a kid and teach him about wildlife! Rocky
That is a true swamp donkey! congrats on the pic. Next thing to is put the smack down on that booner.
Nice deer but hard to hunt in 2012.... Good luck but I wouldn't hold my season to him until I had proof he was still around...
