Honestly, if he goes less than 190 gross I'd be shocked. His frame and length is just incredible...and I'm guessing he won't lose a ton of mass when velvet drops either.

I have been trying to figure score and keep it conservative and I am thinking 180ish. I believe he is between 180 and 185. That is all going to depend on how much mass he holds onto when he sheds. I think he is at least 24" inside but could go as much as 26". He looks to be over 10" past his ears in the straight on shots. Plus he is a big body deer, normally those big bodied deer make the rack look smaller than what they are. And his rack still looks huge so he might be better than I am even thinking.

Is it called "ground growage"? I've noticed for years with big northern deer, they look kind of average until the hunter goes and lays hands on it then it shows that the rack is huge and the body was so big it scaled down the proportions we generally field judge by. I have a 145" 8 point on the wall that was that way. From the stand I thought he looked tall but short main beams and unimpressive width. He presented a shot too good to pass up and when I walked up to him he was tall with 12" G2's and 11" G3s but he was so big bodied that he was a lot wider and had a lot longer main beams than it looked like he had on the hoof. He was old and huge with the body build of an angus beef crossed with a thoroughbred. He looked like a 125" deer on the hoof so it can make a huge difference.

Yes, I have it but it said he'd score 339 6/8ths.
 Nah but I do have the software, I'll see what it does but it's always way off, not worth the money I paid for it for sure.

    My best guess, +/- 5":

    I.S. – 25”
    Points – 59”
    Mass – 42”
    M.B. – 52”
    Total Gross – 178”
    Net – 167”

    Applying tolerance:

    173" - 183" Gross

    162" - 172" Net

    Maybe Booner?

Sorry I can't seem to get a transfer of the actual score sheet from buckscore through photobucket.
    Buckscore says:
    IS: 24.34"
    MBL 25.1", 25.5"
    Typical Gross score: 175.50
    Non-typical gross score: 178.93
    Net typical score: 166.49
    Net non-typical score: 173.35

I'll repeat, I've never seen this thing be accurate at all and I've tested it against my wall mounts that have been scored by official scorers. It's always off by over ten inches and always short. I hate to guess how it compensates for velvet. So Frenchbread is pretty much right on with Buckscore's guess.

In no way am I trying to say that guess is crazy I am just curious if you are just making a guess from looking at it or did you write down how you think it would score? I would love to see your breakdown on score to get 160"

My son thinks he gets first crack since I was trying to get him after him last year. I just laughed so now he is trying to get my wife involved. That isnt going to help him either

I stand by my flirt with 190 minimum....until velvet is off....or Tom gets him with another buck in a pic for comparison (get on it Tom haha!).

The real question is what will he be like next year?

(hopefully stiff and in the Lester household!)
