Alright I have a slight problem, i planted my spring/summer plot of buckwheat about a week ago. It was beautiful out an was for a few weeks prior. Well these past 2 days the temps dropped an today its actually lightly snowin a bit. So my question is, will the temps droppin an the light dusting of snow gonna ruin my plot before it even gets a chance to get growin??

Thanks for any help, its appreciated!

Only time will tell, what'd you plant again? My bet is if it heats up like they're calling for in the next 48 hours most plots will be safe.

I planted buckwheat, it's cheap so I'm not to worried bout the seed if it needs to be bought again. Just sucks if it did kill it. It stopped snowin temps are gettin into the mid 40's now so I guess like you said, time will tell.

Buckwheat will germinate from about 45 - 100 degree soil temperature but you want to get it closer to 80. Will it still grow, yes, but 80 degree soil temp for buckwheat is ideal. Keep in mind this varies greatly on your geographic location as well.
