Well guys New Years brought me this fellow walking to my tree stand. I saw her and her 3 friends walking threw the woods on the way to my stand, and I stopped took a knee and they walked 35yds in front of me. First deer of the season for me. Ranged her drew back a sent the arrow down range. Hit a little far back. I waited 4 hrs just incase and it's cold as balls in WI right now so I knew the meat would be good. Tracked her she only went 80yds. I hit her liver and she was done when I saw her. Just happy to tag one before I deploy.
Congrats, I commend you for hunting in these conditions. I just checked the temps at our hunting location -18 without the wind chill factor
Thank you everyone and hope next year, I get to draw my buck tag in colorado for whitetail and mule deer.
