Late season public land buck

    A few buddies and I went out for a late season day trip this past Saturday. I got setup right at legal shooting and at about 8am had this nice 9pt buck show up, I was able to get him to stop broadside at just under 40yds and took my shot. I ended up hitting him in front of the shoulder and saw him head off into the swamp. We waited until dark then went after him and found him a few hundred yards out. This is the first buck I've shot with a bow and I'm looking forward to getting back out there next year.
