Saw him at about 250 yards the last night we hunted down there. I'm keeping this one, but the one I shot Sunday I gave to a family that needs it. Honestly, one deer a year is enough for my family.....any others I donate. If I shoot another one, I'll trade you it for some smoked carp.
We go through seven deer pretty easily. K and I got four does kind of early and then I was passing up does for awhile. Now that I want one, they're on to me. The last time I was in the stand I was thinking about how nice it would be to be out on a boat, slaying carp in the warm summer sun. :D You should really come shoot fish down here sometime.
I'm turning the camp over to one of my older brothers to run this summer and won't be up there as much. I'm definitely making the trip down there and shootin fish with you!
