So who is witnessing effects of the rutting moon pushing the rut back to this week? I really haven't seen much difference from this year to any other year except maybe last year when the corn was still unharvest and unseasonal warm temps. Just your thoughts.

I've seen more deer moving on my to and from work the past 3 days, than I have all of November.

I also saw more action on Nov. 16, 17, and 19th than I did earlier in the month.

I don't know if it's the moon, cool weather finally arriving, or just an odd coincidence, but I'm excited to sit in a stand tomorrow afternoon.

I can't wait for this coming week. I rented a cabin with 135 acres. My gf, my puppy, and I are all going out for a mini vacation. Best part about it, I'll be bowhunting for part of it (ie early morning and last hours of daylight). It's in an antler restricted county (4+ points on one side to be legal) and some 120-130 class bucks were seen during rifle season but were passed on by the guy hunting there. No shots during rifle season on this land. I'm really hoping that the rut is still doing something here... I'm excited either way! Maybe I can get something in the freezer this coming week.

I gave the lunar theory a fair shake, this season. It was definitely a less than ideal rut.. the least amount of cruising, chasing, etc.. I've ever seen, at least in my neck of the woods. In the last few days, I've seen plenty of movement. I can kill a fawn, doe or dinker virtually any day I hunt... but no sign of the big boys. Unless something dramatic happens in the next few days, I'm officially declaring the moon theory a total crock

    Time will tell.

Where I hunt, the last week of Oct and first of Nov are usually on fire.

Mild rutting from then until around now, then, it picks back up now through first or second week in Dec...We'll see.

Well guys I witnessed a lot of buck movement yesterday evening. Heck, I had a 140-150 inch buck run out in front of me on the highway at 3 in the afternoon driving to my farm to hunt. Grunted in 2 bucks cruising together. So I have witnessed some pretty late movement especially since rifle season is now over. That doesn't happen too often here in NW Mo.
