Tonight. My wife slow cooked a shoulder roast in the crock pot all day. Sliced up, served with mashed potato's and gravy on an open faced sandwich. It was delicious!
This time of year I have some type of venison almost every day. Usually deer sticks or crackers and bologna in my lunches for school. Then some hotdogs once or twice a week. My little brother got a deer on Saturday so some fresh backstraps will be lunch on Sunday probably! And stew meat and jerky will be made out of the rest, so that will add some more variety. I love that stuff
Strictly venison, only time I mix anything with ground meat is some pork for sausage/snack sticks or I'll by a couple rolls of breakfast sausage and mix with some deer burger to make a quick breakfast sausage. Granted it's not the same as making breakfast sausage from "scratch" but it is quick and simple and with the right mixture pretty danged tasty
By the way, veni bites are fantastic. Just made my first batch last week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well in the last month I have had Chili, Spagetti, Nachos, BBQ sandwiches and inner loin with eggs over easy, american fries and biscuits and gravy.
2-3 times per week. Made up some sweet garlic parm sausage the other day as well as some Jalepeno cheddar. Made a killer chili last week and some great asian marinade grilled backstraps as well.
Made faghitas and gyros at deer camp last weekend, making venison medallion sliders on the sweet Hawaiian buns tonight
