    So the buck with the feet and plaque in the long line of bucks was my first buck ever and it was taken with a shotgun. All the other bucks are bow kills. The buck with the pictures on it was my grandsons first buck ever. He took it last year when he was 12 with a crossbow.

    Anyone have anything fun planned this weekend? I’ve got a camera in the 15 acres behind the house I will probably go check today. Might hang another camera back here as well on a mock scrape - just see if/when anything decent is moving through.

    The property has some doe bedding but it’s mostly just a pass through property in the night. Doesn’t hunt very well in my opinion.

    Bout the extent of my weekend excitement. Going to nurse this hangover a little while and then own the world. Lol

    That one did have 1 ice cube initially, but had melted off. I rarely drink it neat. Good stuff for sure and I was just in the right mood for a good bourbon.

    Activity has been slow on the camera today, temps are dropping Tennessee. Getting me super pumped for opening day. Next weekend high is 76 and low is 54. Hopefully it stays this way.

    I'm staying out of my closest spot till I hunt it. It is what it is at this point for me. I am going to do an observation sit at the new farm, but put it off till Tuesday or Thursday when it is supposed to cool off. I'd guess that the velvet is about to come off here or already has.

    I didn’t hunt my best stand until October 28th last year. Killed a buck out of it 2 days later on October 30th. I’ve become more and more disciplined over the years... Staying off the juice until the time is right is crucial!

    Really slow movement on the cams past few days. All the fields around me were cut tho so deer have probably been browsing it. 55 degrees this morning when I woke up. Felt amazing outside

    I wish we had those temps. Our lows are prob high 70s still. Only reason I do not like early archery down here is it will prob be 95 degrees opening day
