I was going through some old trail cam pics trying to see what bucks still might be around and I think I found the buck that is the real thick massive 9 point. I'll post a few pics of him from 2018. Then this years pics. I did not have any pics of him in 19. Now I'm real curious what he looked like last year? I'm also guessing he's 51/2 this year. Three day weekend coming up and I need to go scout some property. Work has stolen my motivation to work, but deer season is close at hand!

How you liking that Tactacam Reveal cell camera?

I was thinking about adding a few to the arsenal this year.

Taking a stroll at 2:30 pm, I can’t tell much about him. A deer I would probably take tho.

I love the Tactacam so far, sends pictures quick, pretty good quality. I have yet to change batteries as well and it’s been out for a month. I heard the downfall was batteries but I haven’t had that issue yet.

    Alright... Point total prediction time!

Predict what you think you will contribute to the team this year (it’s just for fun!)

I’m going 50 for my doe! 152” for my buck. 202” total.

    8 dollars a month I believe, I honestly can’t remember. I don’t exceed my picture limit ever.

I’m going to put myself at 50 for a doe and 100ish for a buck. So 145-165 range!

That puts us around 555 with three people!

Regardless of points, this is the most interaction on a team, this early, ever for me. I'm digging it. I work from home and my work could care less about me being on this site, so I might post an annoying amount. I'm just excited for this year. At first the fire wasn't there, since I don't have a monster to chase on camera. Last year was bananas for me, but this year feels like some years in the past where the hunt was unknown and full of surprises.

I'm very busy this year..... I'm going to say 50 for a doe and anything else is a bonus! Aim low for less disappointment ;)

Assuming you guys have no idea, so ill elaborate last year. Basically I chased the same buck for 2 years only to make a terrible 25 yard shot on January 1st, hitting him in the shoulder. Late Feb I found a kill site on a gas line on the property. Early March I found this stud picked clean by coyotes. I know my wounding him is the reason he died and really hesitated to hang him on my wall. But there he sits. A reminder of how tough and heartbreaking bow hunting can be. I thought coyotes count for 50 points. Or is that wishful thinking?

I'll definitely say 50 for a doe, 130ish for a buck so 180ish and if yotes count maybe 220ish.

There's more to the story that is even more depressing. I won't go into it. Just remember, fellas, keep your perspective this fall as we pursue our passion. Keep your friends and family close and be thankful for their love and support as we lose our minds chasing these tasty animals.
