Any of you watched the movie The Outpost? If you are into really well done war movies, rent it. Possibly the best I've ever seen. Any vets here? I was USAF 98-03.

First of all, thank you for your service Ridge! I love war movies and will check that out.

Shawn, not really good at this but I’m going to say back sagging. Chest bowed out. 5.5 year old, 135 inches.

I’d go with 5.5 yrs old for sure.

And I wil go with around 132” Has quite a bit of mass although velvet can be misleading. Definitely could be push 140” but the main frame 6 is a tough one to score - lack of scorable points leads me toward lower 130”s still a beautiful mature buck!

6 is tough to get high but I'll say 30's for sure. Old deer as the body is symmetrical and thick. 5.5 -6.5

I like the way all you guys are thinking. I quite positively say he is at least 5.5 as my pictures I have of him in 18' he sure looks like a 3 year old deer to me. But I'm no deer aging expert so I'm guessing he could be 6.5 as well. As far as score goes I was being less than generous and put him just under 120. Now with that said a 120 - 130, or even bigger six is a hell of a buck.

Ha! I have to have cheap vices to pay for my expensive hobby. Bow hunting. And my man cave is a real mess that I need to clean up.

Same... most uneventful summer of card pulls in the last 5 years. Which is what had me out putting feelers for new properties to hunt.

I didn’t end up taking any photos today on my walk of the property... My mind was processing a lot of information. I got one set hung and a couple cameras. Will probably go back in two weeks - check the cameras and hang a second set.

Breaking down a property for the first time just a month prior to the season is an incredible feeling and process. It’s just going to take me some time to figure things out. Some people that travel the country to hunt can probably put the pieces together a lot quicker than I can. I’ve been dissecting the same 60 acres or so the last 5 years.

Yeah it is definitely a process. Still cool that you have some new ground though. I haven't done as much recon this year as in the past and have stayed out of the deep parts of my closest property since July. I was joking with a buddy of mine how this year is going to be a lot like the old days before I ran cameras and every buck was a surprise.
