Well it's my last try to get a deer this morning, flying back to Cali tomorrow to resume my duties. Had a heck of a good time home and hopefully a buck (or doe) comes by here in the next few hours. Hope everyone is enjoying their morning in the woods as much as I am, I sure do love it out here in this tree stand!
Here's my last day buck. I've shot bigger and I've passed bigger, but man he got me pumped. Shot was awful, high and only caught 1 lung. Ended up tracking him about 2 miles and had to put a finishing arrow I him when we got there. I tell ya what boys it's never easy where I come from haha. Thanks for all the kind words I appreciate sharing with you guys.
Thanks guys, I'm not one to toot my own horn but me and my buddies really dialed up our inner apache tracking this guy. Specs of blood every 30yds and recognizing his tracks compared to other deer in the mud, it was quite an adventure. Great way to end my time here! Wish it would have been a quicker kill but you know what they say, wish in one hand and you know what in the other.
Great job man. As far as he went, you guys obviously did something right. I'm sure that was a tough track, nice work!
