I am looking @ buying a laptop computer in the next month or so. I know nearly nothing about them. I want to keep it at/under $1,000. What should I look for and avoid? ______________________________________________________ Ugg boots Uggs
I have an HP Pavilion laptop with a 17" screen, but I have kinda had some issues with it. If I were you, I would try and get a Mac, I wish I would have
I was in the same boat....My laptop just laid down on me and I went out to get a new one. I ended up getting a Apple Mac pro 13.3inch screen and it is the best thing I have bought. The price is high but it is a great product. You should be able to get one around 1200. I know it is over your budget but it is worth it. I was also set on a 15inch screen but the 13 does just fine.
I have a Mac - it is everything you will ever need. You can get them used. Apple backs their stuff better then anyone else, too. NO VIRUSES.
i have a Toshiba satellite. honestly the best compy i have ever had. Parents have a mac pro and you couldnt pay me to trade. I am a windows guy tho, and have never had virus issues,
What all do you need in a laptop? My wife's laptop got knocked off the coffee table last weekend and I found a pretty sweet deal at Best Buy for a 15.6" widescreen with 4GB Ram and 320GB hard drive. Not the most killer computer but it does a lot for $399.99. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Toshiba...lver/9784839.p?id=1218173777875&skuId=9784839
The newest lineup from Dell has some pretty affordable options and they make a solid computer. I've had an Inspiron 1520 for over 2 years and it hasn't given me any trouble. That being said, when the time comes for me to buy a new one, I'll be purchasing a Mac.
