Spent the last several time cutting trees out of the CRP and toradoning everything. Been a *****. Paid a couple of high school kids to come help.

I've thought about trying it , but understand it needs a burn down over time?
Our area is a no burn area. We had one guy ,old farmer that refused to adhere to that and there would be police stand offs with him over the field he'd burn. Arrest then fines and I'm not sure about jail. The last time was pretty bad and he shot himself. Sad all the way around.

If I’m not mistaken, switch can be mowed instead of burned.

    Too bad about your neighbor.

Re-Fenced the apple trees since they were starting to grow outside the other fencing. Checked on the new plot I planted and it is germinating, but with the big rain we had it looks like it washed a lot of it away. Plan B is to check it again in a couple weeks and fill in with winter rye….. clover is still hanging in there so there’s that. So today I spray and then next week pick up seed. They are just processing their rye now.
I have to say I called a place that cidiots use North of me . Hoping things may have changed...well good for a laugh
No WW,WR they sold out. Seed and feed store mind you in mid August. Ask pricing anyways 31 and 50 something. IDK I stopped listening at 31. Lol
Called my long distance regular guys which got a chuckle from what I was quoted and them being out with none coming in. Their quote 12 and 13 or 16. I honestly was laughing too hard to hear the second price per 50#. I'll hit camp on way down Monday to check things out , maybe hang a platform, then pick up the seed for planting.

So as per usual the no wind day got windy the moment I mentioned spraying. So I harvested basil, took A.J for a walk out back to check on things and Dr'd a plot and trail. Had to Dr because still small JD isn't up and running with hydraulic leak. Hubby now on fence about zero turn

    Just measured that tallest sunflower.
12 1/2 feet tall. I actually don't care how tall they get though. Main goal is for buck to rub so thick stalks are what I want.
There will be a cam up watching the carriage next month:biggrin:.

Looks like a 8 hour period of rain coming shortly. Sure will be nice.

    31. 00 and 50 + per 50# that was what was quoted for winter wheat and winter rye.
To be honest I really completely zoned out when I first heard the numbers so I assume that 31 was foe the rye because the winter wheat at my go to place was just a couple of bucks higher than the rye.
I go in the morning to pick up a few bags at 12.00 a 50# bag an 1 1/2 drive but worth it ,plus a check on camp

OMG!!! What a morning . Hubby will be in hot water for a while. I go to pick up seed and fertilizer. Hubby pitches a fit ,your going the long way no need to go camp way what a waste..yada yada yada.
So stupid me decide just go the shorter way. So Google map sets me out. Then down the rabbit hole, detours, snail travel behind heavy and highway. Back road in circles.,
THEN.. I'm on a sketchy back road and round a curve to this scene
5 yards off my passenger side in the grass is two people partially clothed in all blk against pastie white skin...screwing, mind you 10 a.m. I then get sent down another back road round a curve and the road is closed do to bridge repair. The guys are there and get out of car to go explain my situation. ZERO clue as to where I am. They let me through.
BTW rye grain 13.00 a 50#, I got 4 bags and two bags of 06-24-24 to go with the 24-o-04 I have already. 2 1/2 hrs to get there verse 11/2 to get home.
