Lone Wolf Climbers...customize the seats though, they're uncomfortable.

I have a old big game stealth ladder stand. It was on sale for $60 so it looked like a good deal. It's been in the woods for 5 years and not even a speck of rust.

There is no ladder stand I know of that is good for bowhunting. All of them have platforms the size of a shoebox. That being said, any double ladder is going to provide decent foot room to move around.

I prefer a hang-on with a big platform, but I'm a big guy. Rivers Edge Bigfoot XL. Big Game Boss XL.

I love my ladder stands, while not double they are much bigger than the cheap small ones. I like one with a folding foot bar and a seat that fold up too. I bought Big Dogs at Menards and made extensions.

I don't stand and shoot unless I have to so it works out fine for me.

the only thing you need to concern your self with ladder stands are the seats. they aren't sitting friendly. I prefer ladder stands, because they are easy to get in and sturdy. I would suggest that you pick up some of those footing's that prevent them from sinking in the mud.

Big Game stands for me. Have used them for years and replaced many that were stolen. I use the 20ft. models and I really liked the ones with the double ladder rails. Their seats are comfortable also. Most of the time I leave the gun rail off of them. Bought 3 earlier this year when they went on sale at cabelas for $139 each.

I noticed Menards has a 20 footer this year after not having one for a while. It's called the Duke and really expensive, $240. If it's half off at seasons end I'll probably pick one or two up.

Do this or put patio blocks under the ladder for a cheaper method. The stand will squeek like crazy once it sinks into the mud while the top part is strapped on to it's original spot.

I have a BIG Game Sky box. I think it is now called the Legend. Anyway, it has a double ladder, which I really like and is 20ft to the rail. The platform is more than adequate for bowhunting. I have done several things to it to make it quieter. I went through it and added nylon washers to all 5he moving parts, sprayed auto undercoating on the slip-joints where the ladder goes together, and put a piece of 3/4in plywood on the platform itself. It has been a good stand and is very comfortable.

    Blessings...........Pastorjim

Wish I could remember the brand/model of my ladder stand that I use for rifle hunting, nice big platform. I don't use it often enough to remember what it is, all I know is it came from a Dunham's sporting goods store.

Anyways, instead of carrying something extra with to put under the ladder to keep it from sinking, we've always just found some big, short sticks to put under the last step wrung. Not sure about all ladder stands but with both of ours, the last wrung is only maybe 4-6" from the end of the ladder.

I have a cheap Big Game I bought on clearance last year. It just stays setup on my home range for practice. I hate ladder stands so I doubt it will ever see the woods for hunting.

Brothers and sisters, I dont care what kind of stand i`m sitting in as long as i`m in a stand! Ladder, climber, hang on, hell, any one of those is better than sitting on my office chair! Best of luck people, lets have fun this season and be safe!

This stand is pretty interesting, but the price tags a bit nuts. I have no experience with it, but I like how it can be packed in and the fact that it has a platform more like a hang-on than your typical gun hunting ladder stands.
