I have the Meindl Perfekt Extreme. They are really nice! I think mine are at least 4 years old and looking good!

Either this thread jinxed me, or was at a perfect time... I tried it out today and while standing in the creek with the back of my boots upstream I felt some water coming in. It wasn't s huge amount...but still.

This is disheartening, I was really considering these boots.

I received an email from Nicole at LaCrosse this evening. They will be taking care of the problem for me and I really appreciate it. Here's a copy of part of the email addressing the issue I was having.

It sounds like the issue has been addressed with placement of the seam. Honestly, these are the most comfortable rubber boots I have worn. The mucks I have had in the past don't compare to them at all. I look forward to using the updated boots with the seam issue addressed.

I'm definitely trying mine out again tomorrow, Dan do you have that email address? Or is it just from the website?

I am going shoot them a e-mail and see if they will honor a replacement being that the seam problem appears to have been a known issue not to mention the separation I have where the sole meets the toe.

I thought they would but you never know what is going on behind the scenes.

I talked to a rep at a show before this boot was officially released but he had some there. I really liked them at the time but I need the 7 mm to fit my small ankles or use some sort of insole in the 3s.

He actually gave me a card to get 40% off but i used that for some extreme cold weather boots in 2000 gr thinsulate. I figured it made more sense to use the 40% off on the more expensive boots.

It was a reply to my inquiry on the website. Look under the Support tab and you'll see the form to fill out.
