The reviews on bowsite been really good... Haven't seen them in person yet but I was tempted to order a pair...at 140 or so they are priced decent enough to try out...I generally hate rubber boots. I settled on a pair of muck woody maxs which are great in every respect except for their weights. The
    Areoheads are much lighter.

Ive been looking for a decent rubber boot and i might have to pick a pair up before the season. It looks like the only real difference is the 3.5 or 7 mm which changes the rated temperature it looks like. I could be wrong but if thats the case i would go with the 3.5mm.

That's what I was thinking, figured a heavy wool sock would help late season

Here's a review that Steve Flores posted a few weeks back - http://www.bowhunting.com/blog/2013/3/4/lacrosse-aerohead-boot-review/

I do have a pair of the 3.5mm Aeroheads but haven't really put them to the test yet. I plan on wearing them turkey hunting this weekend so I'll know more then. From the people I've talked to who have worn them, they're great.

You're correct, the 7mm boot is designed to be warmer. Since I have a problem with my feet sweating in warm temps I opted for the 3.5mm. I'll add some wool socks when it gets chilly, and then switch to a regular insulated hunting boot once it really starts to get cold.

Yeah that sounds like a solid plan. I might go this route too. Once you have worn them some more let us know what you think.

I was able to try some out at a show back in the fall. They were very comfortable, much more so than rubber. I actually can't wear rubber boots because they are too big in the ankle and slip off. These fit in the 7mm but the 3 would slip.

I have always wanted something other than a rubber boot. I finally made a purchase last summer for boots I had my eyes on for a long time. Muck Wetland boots. Never thought there could be a more comfortable boot until I tried on the new Lacrosse Areohead. These are very rugged and comfortable boots. I give it to Lacrosse Boots, they topped my previous Mucks! Going to enjoy them more yet this spring!

I got a pair a couple weeks ago, haven't done much trumping around in them yet but they sure are comfortable and they are definitely well constructed! I have always loved any Lacrosse boot I have worn.

Resurrecting this thread - I've put a few miles on the Aeroheads so far both during turkey season and now while out scouting/checking cameras and they're working out great. They amazingly comfortable for a pair of rubber boots, even moreso than my original Alpha Burly's that I've worn for years. If you're in the market for a new pair of hunting boots for this fall I'd definitely give these a shot.

For all who have had these boots for awhile, how are they holding up?

Mine look like brand new still. Of course the real work is still ahead of us so we'll see how they look in December.

I may have to check these out, thanks for the input Justin. I have a pair of Mucks but they get warm in the Alabama early season. Those 3.5mm sound a lot better.

How about on the sizing? Did you have to go up a size compared to normal boots? I know on my Mucks I had to go up a size

:tu:I have a pair and they are the best fitting most comfortable rubber boots I have owned. The ankle fit is great,I have the 7mm which may be too much for the weather here in Georgia I will find out later this year. I believe you will like them.

They are on my short list of things to get. My boots I have now, sprung a leak last year.
