The only thing that sucks...is the fact that we had a chance. We weren't supposed to have a chance. What a letdown. I hope Dom Capers walks away. He's proven we can't beat the 49ers with his defense. We need some free agents on D and a big play TE. What did Andrew Quarless do today? Nothing. James Jones...in what may be his final Packers game...he drops 2 HUGE passes. Peace out brother...watch Jarret Boykin go for 10 TDs next year in your spot.
Sad thing is, they actually had a chance today because of that terrible defense.... defense shows up, offense sucks, lame... Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
I am hearing instead of a new wide receiver or tight end to make Rodgers better they are leaning more towards male cheerleaders.
Funny thing is... After the packers loss today it makes them just as good as the Vikings! Vikings fan for life... No matter if they win or lose! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The only thing the last 2 weeks of football have proven is that Aaron Rodgers & Colin Kaepernick are the only real franchise QBs in the NFC. And if Rodgers had the supporting cast that Kaepernick does it wouldn't even be close... The Packers definitely aren't anywhere close to the team they were when Brett Favre lead them to a Super Bowl win and Aaron Rodgers lead them to another. They've just got way too many holes - especially on the defensive side of the ball. That being said, I vividly remember feeling like I do tonight a year or two before both of these Super Bowl wins - which will allow me to sleep well tonight because when you have a good GM & head coach & a franchise QB, a team can make huge strides in just a year or two & make it happen all over again. And if you Packers fans really want to sleep well tonight, just remember Chicago's GM just gave the worst "big game" QB there is a 7-year deal & their head coach hasn't proven he can win anything & the odds are good that Cutler's ineptitude will cost him his job way before 7 years have passed. And Detroit is another trainwreck without a coach and a GM who has also signed a QB who can't win games when it matters the most thru 2017. So their combination of a poor GM, no head coach & a poor QB has every Packers fan liking their odds of winning the NFC North for a LONG time. That leaves the Vikings - unproven GM who wouldn't know how to draft an average QB if his life depended on it, no coach & an owner who has never proven that he can hire an average head coach & possibly the worst QB situation of any team in the entire NFL. Sleep well Packers fans, as your team already has 4 Lombardi Super Bowl trophies on display at Lambeau Field, no formidable competition in its division for a LONG time due to the incompetence of the other 3 teams where it matters the most, & a true franchise QB who will win more than enough games every season to win the division & give our team the only thing that really matters this time of year - a chance to win playoff games, advance to the Super Bowl & bring home another trophy for their case! Like as actually pretty darn good for this Packers fan tonight - especially compared to what Bears, Lions & Vikings fans have to look forward too!
Detroit's going to be REALLY good next year if they get a good coach. That team was a mess under Schwartz. The team has an elite qb, great Rb, the best receiver in the NFL, and a smothering defense. With a good coach, they're a super bowl team. If the packers don't do something with the defense, they might have a tough time in the north. I would like to blame it all on capers, but the personnel is terrible. When playing zone there was no pressure on the qb, and when playing man, the corners were beat. When kaepernick would run, the defense would take terrible angles. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
I dont' think the Pack is going away anytime soon. IMO they should be one of the favorites out of the NFC next season. They have a solid core. Now they have a running game (and dual threat at that) with the emergence of Lacy and Starks. Yeah they need to revamp the defense a little. What team (even upper end teams) don't have holes to fill. I bet a lot of teams in the league would like to start out with their roster next year. Actually I think their defense played pretty darn good overall. Crabtree had a big game. But I think the only real damage was Colin making big plays at crucial times. Other than that they played right with San Frans D. Like Mcarthy said... they were one play away from moving on. Not like they got smoked and embarrassed. Holy *&$^ I'm not even a Packers fan.....
Pretty much my thoughts. I'm not a Packer's fan, but was pulling for them. They made a few mistakes (that key defensive mistake on the outside on Kaepernick's 11yd run on the final drive), but overall, they looked solid.
The game wouldn't have been as close if Refs had not allowed Packers to interfere with receivers and hold defensive lineman on some critical plays.
Calls were the same both ways.... they actually let the d-backs play instead of calling every tiny bit of defensive contact. I think you've been listening to aikman too much.... Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
Uh no...I watched the game with my own eyes...If I were a Niners fan I would have been screaming at the television
I didn't even post this I think my dad went on the computer and thought he was on his account with 6 posts... I don't know what he was saying about franchise QB's because the Saints, Packers, Seahawks, Niners, etc. all have franchise QB's
