Sounds like he was on a sheep hunt. People are saying suicide. That isn’t confirmed. Supposedly he suffered from CTE. He played professional football.

    Sad for his family.

:’( don’t know his story but usually the conditions and symptoms that lead to suicide are unforgiving and they do not discriminate. Old, young, rich or poor. God bless those affected

Very sad news - he seemed like a great guy with a successful business and a beautiful family. If it indeed was suicide that's a shame. Mental health issues certainly do not discriminate.

Very sad deal. Suicide has not been confirmed at this point. According to his last Instagram post, he and his son were heading to the Brooks Range to hunt Caribou. I'd hate to think he committed suicide with his young son in tow.

I thought the same thing. That would be pretty awful.

Given the fact that there's been no official post about the cause of death I'm going to assume it wasn't an accident. My gut tells me if it was they would have made it known in the original post.

Really tragic and sad! Was suicide confirmed, Jimmy?

Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

Oh man, I haven't seen that yet, I sure hope that isn't the case then. Either way it's truly awful!

Goes to show you that everyone has their demons. He had a life than many wish for and envy and was clearly very successful. Hopefully the rumors are not true, but everything I have seen has confirmed it. I think Kuiu would have given the details if it was an accident on his sheep hunt instead of not mentioning anything.

CTE takes people to very dark places that even young children can't pull them from. Part of me thought very poorly of him but in the end he was brain damaged (likely; CTE won't be proven until the autopsy) so really not his fault.

I will never let my fake future children play football.
