In June I purchased 2 Wildgame Innovation D8's. One started taking pictures that turned out all pink. I called customer service and they gave me an RMA#. Today I recieved my replacement...it is a Pulse 10d. A real step up from the 8d. The trigger time is much faster....it has wifi capabilities with the purchase of an add on module and sound with the video. I really don't care much about the sound but it is cool to have. I just tested it with the infared and it triggered and took a 2 minute video at 75 feet....

Just wanted to give a Kudos to WGI and let the gang here know what kind of service I got. I haven't had any problems with the one 8d I still have and don't expect to...the sensitivity on that one and picture quality was always better then the one I ended up sending back.

It's almost time to start coyote hunting so the new one is going out to where I think they are running most of the time.

    Take care all..

    Bob

I have nothing to say but good things about WGI's customer service...I had trouble with a couple of thier cams and I had no trouble getting them replaced. All have been good to go now.

I to have experienced some great customer service from WGI. They replaced one of my cameras with out questions of warranty. My uncle had an issue with his and they replaced with no problem. Glad to hear you received the same service and they went above and beyond and gave you an even better camera.

Same here... we have 5 wgi IR4 cameras on our property and the first year we had 1 just completely quit working. Called WGI and same deal... gave me an RMA#, sent it in and within a week had a replacement. This last year we had 2 stop working. Called in and the same deal, had 2 replacements within a week.

One thing I did notice with the originals compare to the replacements is on the original cameras bought, there was no back up battery compartment on the back. The replacements had one. I think the reason the cameras quit working was because when the C batts died the electronics couldn't reset due to the sudden power loss. With the back up batts the camera has enough power to properly shut down. We have had no issues with the replacement cameras with the back up battery compartments.

If the camera has a spot for a small set of batteries in the back then it is a 2009 model. In 2010 they quit using the extra batteries in the back. The only reason for the small set of batteries in the back was to hold your date and time data if the C batteries died off. This way you wouldn't have to reset your camera totally once you put new C batteries in. 2009 models do not have an external battery port either on the bottom of the camera. The 2010 models will have the external battery port. Sounds like they sent you a bunch of 2009 models.
