Looking to go to KS for spring bow turkey season.. I wanna go somewhere with good public land, that will allow someone to park a camper nearby! If anyone can provide some insight on to good areas for birds, it would be greatly appreciated.

Peeps are awful small, not sure I would even waste my time hunting them. Besides I'd imagine they're available at your local DG or Walmart for under $1.

There are lots of places that fit what you are looking for. I would get on KDWP and look around then just decide how far you want to drive. Eldorado Lake and Marion Co Reservoir are two that come to mind (Just cause they are near me) that have what you seek. Also Harvey Co East.... used to have a ton of birds but I'm not positive if the walk-ins there are still open.

Oh and Kingman State fishing lake is another option... getting even farther west though
