I'm sort of stuck on which one to get but im leaning towards the kodak Zx3 camcorder just because its cheaper and does about the same thing i just want to get peoples thoughts
Thinking about getting an Insane Archery Arm? Just curious where you are at in your decision. One thing I would do is google Kodak Playsport ZX3 reviews. If I'm looking for something like that I look for reviews on-line. But it never hurts to ask here. For example: http://shopping.yahoo.com/780759629-playsport-sdsdhc-hd-camcorder-blue/user-reviews or http://www.digitalcamerareview.com/default.asp?newsID=4365&review=kodak+playsport
The Zx3 is a sweet little camera and completely waterproof up to 10'.... trust me the first week I had one I dropped it in a creek to see if it was true lol.... I have some video on youtube taking from a Zx3... the camera footage facing back at us hunting and some other cut ins are takin from the playsport if you want to check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADrIddq5UkY&feature=share
GFY Camp ya I'm looking at getting the insane archery bow mount for this camera i want a camera that is light and durable for hunting and the price is right for the zx3 its the same as the zx5 without the bells and whistles but you can save money about $50 on it and what worries me the most about the zx5 theres no way you can replace the battery on it so once the battery is shot the camera is shot thats what i have heard about the zx5
1 more thing what i do like about the zx5 is the speaker seems louder than zx3 but not by much i just watched alot of videos on youtube people using these cameras and there isn't much different the other than that scares me away from these cameras is that there only 4x zoom which i'm not sure if that would be enough recording deer bowhunting thats what i would want to if its plenty
No just the close ups, you can actually see me put the camera up on a tree when we sit down to call and then the view from the playsport is when we are calling, the rest was shot with a HD prosumer cam
Probably not. The whole zoom, manual focus option is for focusing thru the foilage to focus on the deer. You will not get good footage unless the deer is close and in the open. It will still seem far away. You will still have to explain to your freinds how far the deer was and where the arrow hit. That is where handycams and these little cameras come up short. There are some awesome shots that show up every year with handycams but for the most part they dont have the zoom our manual controls to focus thru foilage to give a good shot. I think the kodak play sports are awesome for second angles but you will be disapointed when your back in the cover, with thick foilage how little you will see after the shot. I will be useing one this year for second angles. Good luck.
