So, my dad has this bow, and I am not sure, but from what I know, it is old. Old = older than me.

The writing on it says "cougar" and it is a dark wood on the "riser?" followed by a lighter wood, then dark on the limbs [possibly not wood].

Would any of you know who or what may have made this? Could there be any more writing on it that I should look for???

    Thanks.

I'd say your dad has a Ben Pearson recurve. They Cougar came out In 1958.

I think they last made them In 1977. It's somewhere In between there. Ben Pearson bows were well respected bows.

Yeah, It needs a new string, and the hoop deal for bowfishing will be getting one also.
THis spring, is when i am starting that. I have shot it before, but my dad has some shoulder probs, so we kind of left her in the closet for some time.

Colors look about right. That logo in the last one is not on there at all.
I would have to check on this. but i think all of the markings on this one are hand written.

This is what the logo looks like, and what color the limbs are.
