This is kind of a carry over from the " Favorite hunting show" thread.
But what shows out there are more educational based as opposed to a more action based.
Dont get me wrong I love the action shows, but I also like learning as much as possible instead of just a showcase of the latest product. ( I like these also and understand sponsorship)

Basically I'm looking for the Two Guys Garage, In-fisherman or the First Person Defender of deer hunting.

Mossy Oak's Deer Thugs, they usually get asked 3 questions per episode. There are 4 or 5 guys on the show but ALOT of hunting has to do with personal preference so you get some conflicting answers. Although if everything was definitive hunting wouldn't be much fun now would it? lol

Honestly anything not on a mainstream network I feel are the ones with more knowledge to dispense. Normal blokes that aren't stapled with sponsors and such. I've learned more from guys here than I probably ever will watching any of the big deer shows/dvds.

I'm with Ty. When I was younger, I used to eat up what all the Pro's said. I couldn't get enough. Then I joined forums back in my late high school years, and just read (read, read, and read some more), I've learned WAY more and much more quickly than I would simply following a "pro's" advice. Not to say pro's don't know what they're doing...some do. However, I've learned through the years here and on HNI that there are some go to guys for whitetail and archery knowledge. Having them at my disposal to ask questions is great.

That is what I was getting at with the money shot shows. The "How to" or "what to " are incomplete and dont help as much as much when they are not presented with the "Why".
Alot of us new deer hunters don't even know what questions to ask. Or the answer if it was in our lap.
As they saying goes, Don't know what you don't know.
I have learn alot just by being on this forum and reading other prints and will continue to do so, just sometimes it helps to see and hear it.
I briefly watched the 2 that cablebob suggested and have to say that is what I had in mind .
    Thanks

Recently started watching growingdeer.tv , it is a good one from what I have watched on it. I watch more hunting "shows"on youtube then I do network channels. You would be amazed how much you will learn and see just from watching the average joes video, unless you are watching Fergus' videos :poke: .

There is no show that can come close to it. It's just simply the BEST hunting show. Really great group of guys

Heartland Bowhunter- Really? Great footage and masters at B-roll but what have they ever educated anyone about? They rarely tell why they are hunting where they are or why they chose those locations. I can see you learning from them if your a cameraman but not a hunter. I do enjoy the show and know several of them but I would say they are far from educational.

Well... I'm not even saying this just because of what site I am on.. And I'm not saying its THE most educational but I find the Bowhunt or Die episodes to be very informal
