I disagree. You don't have to buy from them if you don't like their prices. But loving their designs and product but buying stolen copies from thieves makes that sort some of the lowest scum in the hunting community.

So you know, I have no respect for companies that go to low cost countries for their labor. I think that is a terrible thing to do. That does not mean I support them being robbed by thieves. There are broadhead makers that never took their manufacturing to low cost countries that were also ripped off by the Chinese scum (companies like Magnus)

China can make stuff cheaper because of how terrible they treat their people and the poor quality of what they make. When a person buys from that sort of scum they are saying they are ok with the way China treats its people and that they are ok buying poor quality and they are ok buying from thieves. The person that does that is scum. Pure and simple. No justification or mental gymnastics to try to excuse such poor behavior.

Sure. Stop by any time. Delafield, WI. All American made items made with American materials and done by Americans. (Even if we are small) We could save a lot of money by buying our raw plastic from low cost countries but we pay more to buy from a Company in MO that makes it on site. We do that because we believe in the American worker and his family and don't want to send a dime to China or other low cost countries. We could buy all our materials from low cost countries but we specifically seek out American sources. Part manufacturing is done in WI, Sewing done in WI, Assembly done in WI.

"These are the lowest of low" geez sounds like these guys should be grouped with the guys who call everyone baiters and then get charged for baiting? Actions speak louder than words and the apple doesn't fall far from the Crabtree.

    Who skimps on broadheads?
My apologies man, but if you have a bow that cost more than $400.......and the piece of the system that actually kills the animal is a question mark.
A healthy US economy is cool too.
I have opinions on mechanicals, from actually shooting animals, you don't want to hear.

Anybody that has issues with mechanicals I have to ask what your arrow weighs? Are the directions for the rage shock collar too complex? Mechanics get blamed for many, many operator errors.

26 archery pigs last year and 2 deer
15 archery pigs in 2016. Most shots between 15 and 32 yards.
Half of the pigs guided. Both deer guided.
    Arrows from 425 - 1000 grains. I play around a lot.

I won't start the mech vs fixed thing because I am a complete outlier. I test a bunch of different setups on pigs and consider it golden for deer. In product testing we've had "weird" results in a bunch of different situations where we lost animals. When it goes wrong, inadequate penetration, followed by destroyed broadhead blades rendered ineffective.
We've also had some FANTASTIC crime scene text book blood trails.

It's always a challenge. I've seen some huge pigs killed with mechs. Just not consistently.

I would not use a mechanical on a pig, deer on the other hand with a properly weighted arrow will get it done.

Sounds to me like your issue is with our free market economy. You know, the one that regulates pricing through supply and demand. The one that allows businesses to turn a profit and provide a good standard of living for their owners and their employees. Judging by your comments it sounds like you'd prefer government-controlled pricing and probably need to do away with private business as well.

You should check out Cuba or perhaps North Korea. Dennis Rodman seems to like it. Maybe you will as well. :tu:

I thought I'd jump back on this thread to see if I might discover a good mechanical to try. Dennis Rodman? Broadheads? What happened here?

If you read the early parts of this thread, along with my responses, I hope that your thoughts on my original post might change. And FYI, I got my bow for $250 off Ebay, which I love. I don't have the privilege of spending the amount of money that some others might be able to...

Sure I get it. My bows are 12 years old and I bought a used Mathews SBXT last week. $300.
But I ahoot the best broadheads I can afford. In my opinion, the most reasonable broadhead - price and function is a cut on contact 4 blade. Buzzcuts!! Time is money. Sorry if I sounded crass.

No worries, just didn't want to be judged for my ignorance... I certainly learned a lot by asking this question and was actually blessed by a forum member with some free broadheads, so I am a happy man!

Price doesn't always mean quality. The ole Muzzy Trocar @ $29.99 a pack just outperformed most of the higher priced broadheads on that new broadhead test bowhunting.com just released.

China selling directly to Americans through the internet is the only real issue. Many of the products we buy are manufactured in China. They are R&D'd here in America, they are manufactured over there. China steals the plans/ manufactures them and sells them directly to consumers. Very hard to prosecute. I've dealt with it on some of my companies products. American companies spend thousands if not tens of thousands designing, engineering and testing products. Only to have Alibaba list the same thing 3 months after submitted for production.

These Chinese companies that do this didn't have the ingenuity or creative ability to design these items themselves. They steal the designs from the original company and sell them to other shops. That's the difference, that's the moral issue.
