It appears that despite the late planting that the corn will make the benchmark of knee high by the 4th of July. How is the corn and other crops looking in your area?

Depends here but mostly waist to chest high, last year a lot of the corn was close to or was tassling by now. Lots of late beans around where I hunt, which could be a good thing.

You guys with the chest high shouldn't have a problem with standing corn late in the year.

We are pretty lucky here to be on schedule. There sure was a lot of farmers getting nervous in mid early to mid may.

The field corn is chest high (on me). The sweet corn is waist high.

My soybeans (edamame type) are only a couple inches high because the rabbits ate them all. Like 500 plants.

Waist to chest high here on the WI/IL border just south of Lake Geneva. Beans behind my place are around ankle high currently, but there are some fields that are very tall just south of here.

Here in central Indiana we are between knee and chest high.

Actually, corn in the fields will benefit me greatly.

I figured you would say that! You would make a good scare crow once the corn is all the way up!

I kinda lost count, but I think we've done in 21 rabbits so far this year. (yes, I have a permit)

We were giving squirrels a pass but today I noticed that they ate all 80 of the squash seeds that I planted. They're on the hitlist now too.:biggun:

its about ankle to knee high here in Ne Ohio. getting batter everyday. All the wheat fields are destroyed though. Atleast low sitting ones. Its all about the hay fields this year.

It's actually varying greatly here in my part of Indiana. Those farmers that were able to get out during a few dry days we had in late May are doing great. I've seen some that is chest high but I've also seen some that is just a few inches tall. I think it'll be iffy for those fields.

    Blessings......Pastorjim

Christine sounds like you need to have a small critter kill party at your place ;)
