I took my kisser off today to give it a try without it after having one on my current bow and my last bow. I did not like it at all. I will be reinstalling it next time I shoot. So do you use a kisser or no??

I don't use a kisser button myself. My thoughts are if you draw to your anchor point then there isn't a need for it. Personally, my knuckle behind my ear lobe and my string touching the tip of my nose let's me know I'm where I should be. It's all about confidence. If you're confident without one then why use one? If you're not confident without one, then obviously you need one until you can swing it without one.

I did just as well without it. Nuckle behind ear and string on the tip of my nose. It just felt weird. I did notice I was shooting a little high. 2" or so. I I just aimed a little lower. I may end up not puting it back on. I am not sure how much my IBO suffers but, could that have been why it was high or was it just a difference in anchoring??

It's possible you could have a little speed difference but the only way to notice would be to put it on the chrono. Up to about 5 fps is what they say is usually the difference and that isn't with worrying about. That shouldn't change anything. Now if it were upwards of 15 or more, then you could tell. Key word you said though, uncomfortable. If you're not comfortable then that's no good. Like buying a bow, if it doesn't feel good to you then why shoot it? You shouldn't because more than likely you're not going to shoot well.

I personally don't use one. I wear a facemask every time I hunt and to me that kind of defeats the purpose of a kisser, some may disagree, but it's all about feel.
On the other hand, I know guys that have been shooting for more years than i've been alive that use them.

Im just the opposite of you guys. I shot kisser for years and when I took it off my shooting improved big time. IMO Something that might be overlooked is make sure the halo of your Sight pin guard is alligned with your peep sight if your using one. In a sence it is like alighning the rear and front sights on a gun barrel. I aware there is some sight guards that are not round either that would put a hitch in what I just said:fro: Focus the halo and peep alignment when your at full draw and see if it helps. Just my $ .02

No kisser for me either. Tried one on there once and hated it.

Basicly all i do instead of a kisser button like i mentioned above is to touch the tip of my nose on the shooting string , how do i know i'm anchoring in the same spot ? i tie in some serving over the center serving after i have my wife or someone else mark it for me at full draw , works the same way as a kisser button .......:tu:

The whole point in anchoring behind your ear and putting the string to your nose IS to know that your in "your" spot. There isn't any other purpose for it.

Negative, I have never shot with one and seem to shoot just fine without it.

Never used one. The first bow I ever bought, the guy told me I didn't need one. That was 35 years ago so I don't think I'm gonna start using one now.

I shot another 100 or so shots today and after 20 I reinstalled my kisser. I also paid more attention to the sight ring, my string on my nose, the kisser and my knuckle right behind my ear lobe and viola. My patterns tightened 100%. I did have to do some readjusting to my sight for some reason though. Not sure why but, its dead on now, well I am. They did start suffering some because of fatigue but, I am finally happy with my 35yd shots. I also tilled a 35'x25' area for my garden with a front tine tiller today, so my arms weren't 100% to say the least. Now on to the 40yd mark. I am staying with the kisser for now just because I feel more comfortable with it.

I like the added feel of a kisser, but I hate them. When I was just starting out, I had one of the huge kissers...the thing was like a quarter hanging off the string! Eventually, it tore off on the shot and cut the corner of my lip pretty good. Still liked the feel, so I started tying a piece of rubber peep tubing in place of the kisser. Cynch it down real tight and trim it real short and it works like a charm!
