Anyone have any experience with the Kioti line of tractors? I just bought a new house with about 3.5 acres to mow and I'm looking at tractors. A local dealer is about to start carrying them and said they should be able to offer pretty good deals on their first shipment because they're waiving shipping/freight fees. Seems they have better financing options than JD and Kubota and have a couple other decent incentives going on as well. My cousin used to work for a Kubota dealer and said they're pretty comparable with Kubota as far as engine is concerned. They're just not common around here yet so I have no one to talk to with first hand experience. Thanks in advance! Sent from my LG-H910 using Tapatalk
I have heard good things. Our neighbor down at the farm has a Kioti side by side UTV. Thing is a work horse. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Kioti is not an off brand. Daedong is the parent company and have been manufacturing and selling tractors for over 50 years and selling tractors in the US under the Kioit name for over 25 years.
I don't have a Koiti, but I have a Bobcat compact tractor. At one time Bobcat thought they wanted to expand out of the construction market and into the consumer market. They partnered w. Daedong(Parent company for Kioti) to produce a line of compact tractors. The Bobcat CT's are basically the exact same as the Kioti except the Bobcat had a few ergonomic and option changes. The chassis was exactly the same except for the paint job. In fact there were picture floating around from the Daedong mfg plant showing both brands side by side in the plant. I have a 30hp version from Bobcat called the CT230 which would be similar to the CK3510 HST from Kioti(slightly less hp). I've had mine for about 9 or 10 years and have been very happy with it. I've only had to have a service tech come out once and that was very early on when a QD fitting's seal failed and it leaked Hydraulic fluid. I could have fixed it but it was still under warranty so I let them. The only other issue I have with it is that for some reason the negative battery cable loves to corrode out. I think I've replaced the cable 3 times. Not really a big deal and could totally be prevented if I just removed the battery cables when I'm not using the tractor for extended periods of time(over the winter). The hydrostatic transmission is awesome and makes loader work so smooth. I have no complaints!
A few guys I work with have them, they have had no complaints and would recommend them as a good alternative to a Kubota or any other big name tractor manufacturer.
There was a Kioti dealer nearby here back in the early 2000's but they are no longer selling tractors. I don't really know much about them, seems very few around here ever bought them.
That's kinda my concern. I don't want to buy one and then have them stop carrying them to where I have to go further for any potential service. I just can't afford $30k for a new Kubota. Might have to start looking used if I don't go with the Kioti. Sent from my LG-H910 using Tapatalk
That's the plan eventually, but I want to purchase a tractor first because I can do much more with it. Just can't afford both at the moment. Sent from my LG-H910 using Tapatalk
New Holland makes a fine tractor for the money in my opinion. I bought a new TT60 several years ago and have had zero problems with it. It was a fraction of the cost of JD and does a great job for me. Parts and dealers are readily available. Just another option to consider that wont break the bank.
Is it just regular grass you need to mow or tall switch grass? A larger zero turn may get the job done faster and cheaper if it's just a 3.5 acre yard.
Here's a good resource for tractor information. These people can answer any question you have about tractors, it's another great community. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/index.php
My father in law just bought a kubota but looked at the kiotis I think he said they pretty much stole their design from kubota, pretty sure kubota even sued them
Not quite. Kubota basically sued them because of the color choice and some similarities. They settled out of court and Kioti continues to paint their tractors Orange, so it would seem Kubota most likely wasn't going to win a lawsuit. Here's a little article(kinda old) that talks about the relationship and lawsuit. http://www.orangetractortalks.com/2008/09/the-other-orange-tractor-kioti/
