Nice photos! I was just up at Kinzua Bridge over Easter. My wife's family lives just down the road in Johnsonburg. I'll be back out in September for a Penn State game and some
The story on the bear is that we were camping in allegany national forest in Kinzua, Pa. We were cooking steaks over the fire and they were cooking for about 15 minutes and this guy comes strolling in from a field next to us. We did not want him to stick around so three guys walked down towards him to scare him off. He did not care about us at all. He were yelling and hollering and nothing would work. As a matter of fact he walked towards us the whole time. Then someone got their vehicle and drove it down through and honked their horn and finally he broke into the woods. That was not the end of him, you could hear him circling the camp and then once it got silent he would come in and that is exactly what he did. The next two morning at around 6 or 7 he can into camp. We have this game called cornhole and there are bags with corn in them that we toss. He ripped open the bag and ate the corn. The following morning he ate a bag of 12 apples.
We go boating down at kinzua dam every year (except this year for some reason ). Never have seen any bears but have seen some MONSTER bucks. Beautiful country!
