My brother inlaw had major surgery last year due to this condition. Agree, you should go see a specialist.

On a positive note: It's a good thing you have indoor plumbing or you wouldn't have noticed the blood. I'm glad your feeling better.

Dam man! Glad to hear you're ok. Sounds like a scary morning. Follow up and get some more info on it. Good luck in the woods.

Thanks again for the well wishes. So far, I feel pretty good and have had no more problems. Been out in the woods and been seeing just a few smaller bucks.

My dad gets something similar from bleeding ulcers in his stomach. And to make matters worse he takes Warfirin (Blood thinner). He's had it 4 times now and we almost lost him twice.

Glad you're doing alright now, Greg! I would also see someone about it, but I'm not a doctor. We need many more years of seeing Greg buck pictures!

Glad you're ok, but I would definitely get a followup with a GI doc. Were you having lower left abdominal pain? I know this is kinda private info, but do you have regular BMs? (now you know why your grandmother would always ask you that!)

I have had diverticulitis for years, hospitalized a coupla times over the last 5. 2-3 times a year I have flare ups that high powered antibiotics will clear usually clear up. Last Spring I had a flare up and went to the doc and got the usual round of ABX, after 2 weeks I was not better... another round... still not better... he ordered scans of my guts & colonoscopy and sent me to a surgeon. in June, after being on ABX for 2 months and still not 100%, they removed 12" of my colon which included a tennis ball sized absess of puss & hooey! man I was sick and really didn't realize how sick I was until I was better! I had other complications after the initial surgery too, which I won't elaborate here.

main point is, if it had been 100 years ago, I would probably be dead by now or still dying a slow agonizing death.

get yourself thoroughly checked out and EAT MORE FIBER!!!

Glad you're ok Greg. My sis had diverticulitis and it put her in the hospital for over a week. Serious stuff.

Take care of yourself man. Someone's gotta write some good big buck killing stories on here, and you always get my vote. As said, see a specialist. Glad you're feeling better.
