I really liked the guy, but Dana kicked him.... Rightfully so I guess. http://sports.yahoo.com/mma/blog/ca...the-UFC-is-over-White-cuts-him?urn=mma,239667
I thought Kimbo was just a lot of hype anyway. Don't get me wrong, the guy could whoop my *** with one arm, but I don't think he was of the same caliber that a lot of the other fighters are.
I knew he was done (permanently) when he got side control early in the first on Mitrione and STILL didn't know what to do in it
he was given a shot to prove himself and didnt... i DO think he made the most of his rare oppurtunity. i will miss him but im sure with his great personality we will see him again somewhere!
I love watching his backyard brawls! For those YouTube activists, look up his football tackle. It's priceless and the guy allows kimbo to tackle him for only a hundred bucks. LOL.
I used to have a saying in golf......for golf "Pros" who looked the part, but couldn't play. "That guy's ALL bag". In the world of world-class MMA fighters......................Kimbo's ALL bag.
he seemed like a real tough guy. but i didnt think he was going to go far just because he wasnt as tecnical as the other fighters.
When a fighter has been using bad technique for 20 years, then that is what is put out in the ring when the crap hits the fan. You cannot take back 20 years of brawling, bad technique. It stays with you whenever you fight. Hell, I had 3-4 heavyweights in my gym alone, five years ago that would have given Kimbo hell and probably would have beaten him, and they were not even professionals.
