After having some problems with the rage hypodermic, I am wondering should I get the killzone or spitfire edge?

My uncle uses the spirfires. He wont use anything else as long as they make those things.

The only people I have heard with problems with the hypo were people installing the shock collar incorrectly or using knock off's from China. I'm sorry to read you had issues.

Maybe consider a good fixed blade. No more issues with heads not opening :) .

I'm a big fan of the Killzones as well as the Rage. Just curious, what kind of issues did you have?

I'd go with a killzone. Much better on quartering shots.

I'm more than sure I installed them correct and I bought them from a local archery shop so I don't think they're knock offs.

I got a pass through but barely any blood on a doe I shot at 5 yards. We tracked what little blood there was for 300 yards until it stopped and couldn't find the deer. Last year I shot a buck at about 8-10 yards and the same thing happened but there wasn't any blood that time. I did install them correct and the shots were good and should have killed the deer. I think I might have got a bad batch because every head that was used did the same thing. What I'm thinking is when the blades hit bone they just broke off and it was like shooting a deer with a field point.

That's crazy because Hypodermics have .035 blades which are at or above the industry standard. Many use .030. Tough break though, I've killed a truck load with Rage (and other mechanicals) and I believe the rearward opening mechanicals are vastly superior. Larger entry holes and less energy loss. That's the reason I would recommend Killzones over Spitfires and I've killed several deer with spitfires
