Yesterday was the last day of the season in Eastern, KY and I finally tagged out on a Doe! . . I killed a 10-point Buck on 11-15-2013. I've been busy with work, the weather has been bad and I didn't think I was going to get a Doe. . The weather was great here yesterday and I shot a few arrows yesterday morning, then hunted the evening! This Doe would come to my mineral block & feeder every day about the same time. . I shot at her from my elevated blind last Friday and overshot her at 32.5 yards! . . My fault that I missed, because I never practice from the elevated blind, but I will now after that miss! So, yesterday I got in my Ameristep blind at ground level and was ready for her! When she came through the bottom, she would stop and look at the blind, then take 3 steps and look again! . . I shot her at 26.5 yards with a 3 blade Muzzy at 4:35PM! . . She ran 80 yards and and fell over in the deer path. The arrow was broke off in her and I found the broadhead when I field dressed her. . The arrow went in her shoulder and almost in her gut. . The Muzzy done a great job as always but one blade was bent up pretty bad! The weather has turned bad here this morning! . . Snowing hard and its suppose to be cold until next week, so I'll leave her hung up for a while! . . This will make 3 deer in the freezer. . My wife killed a small Buck! I have a GoPro mounted on my bow and filmed the hunt, but you can't see when the arrow hit her because the GoPro doesn't zoom in. . I should have used my small camcorder too! . . I've never tried to post a video, but may try and do that later today. She's a nice big Doe too!. . ''Last day and almost at the last hour''!
Thanks ''everyone''! I had ''A LOT'' of pressure on my back! . . Now I feel better! I didn't hunt September, and only hunted 1 week of October. . I couldn't lay the fishing rod down! I always go after the Bucks first, Next season I'll bust a Doe first and get it over! Thanks!
