First, a big thanks to all of you for the kind words. Makes it fun to share with you. Buckeye, sadly, I really dont remember if it was my first day out two years ago or not. I am "hunting" a lot all year long. But not a lot of my hunting involves using a weapon. The cameras really are my crutch, along with a lot of scouting during shed season. When I finally grab the bow, there is usually a pretty good reason. Believe me, if I had more time, I would be out there all season hunting somewhere. But, I dont, so I try to maximize the time I do have and save it for the best days of the year to be in the woods. And have a pretty good idea of where I want to sit. I will have to look back and see if I journaled that hunt. I know it was one of my first sits with the bow, but not sure if it was THE first that year. I LOVE the pre-rut period for killing the big ones. They are still where I think they should be and they arent locked down somewhere with a doe. When I havent killed one by the 6th of November, I start to get nervous. Go get 'em right now guys!
