Sunday afternoon, I heard some crashing in the woods to my left. I knew it had to be deer, but couldn't see what was going on. About 20 minutes later, a small doe was heading my direction. I can tell she was breathing hard, and would look back once in a while. She passed me at about 25 yards and kept going. Soon after, I can see a buck coming right on her trail. As he got closer, I can see his wacky rack, and figured it was just a youngster. Well the closer he got, I can see he's a mature beast. I'm gonna kill this freak! He ends up walking straight towards my tree, passing at about 3 yards, no shot. I let him pass, and at about 15 yards, I have a great quartering away angle. I gave a little grunt, and put a perfect shot on him, destroying both lungs. He bolted for about 40 yards and rolled, got up again and died about 10 yards further. He was a horse of a buck. I had serious trouble dragging him just 60 yards through the woods!
LOL... he went down too fast... didn't ask for help finding him... didn't have to go back multiple times looking for Buzzards circling... it had to be a Muzzy.
Really not sure Scott. I think I saw him once last year, and he was big then. I know he's at LEAST 4, but most likely 5+?? You are correct sir, 2 blade Bloodrunner. Been using them for a few years with zero complaints. I know dude, didn't want you to start a gay teaser :p J/K, company gave me a new phone. I gotta send you guys my number and update mine with yours as well. Next time!!
Wow!! Absolute moose of a body on him!! I'd bet he's all of 5. Way to go! A huge congrats on getting that old boy!!
