As has been said many times before, if you want to shoot, shoot, if not let him walk. as for my opinion I would be deciding what type of mount as was going to get as I was dragging him out.

I would say kill, unless you hunt a pretty big size of property and don't have much hunting around you, then you can try managing if you want, but i know alot of people who practice deer managment that would have a hard time passing that one up. thats a 130-135 inch deer most people have to hunt 10 years before they get a shot at deer that caliber.

Yes and Yes. That's a GREAT buck, and would be one heck of a first buck. I bet he looks even bigger in person, and would look awesome on your wall!

Guys it is 100% your choice as to what deer you would be happy with. Joe schmo in the midwest that has hundreds of managed acres has a complete different expectation than a guy who hunts in North Carolina on public land or small farm. Now my opinion is that is a heck of a buck and he will be dead if he walks by my stand but who cares about my opinion if he is in front of your stand. Do what you feel would make you happy bud. Just do it before he walks off and you don't get another chance.

i swear people just put these up to act like they are good as if they would pass that deer up.. if your passing that buck as your first archery buck you better be on a prostaff or something

That's a 140 plus deer that appears to be mature, what are your expectations and land requirements? :alien:

I think Tribal and ArcheryAddict21 sum it up quite nicely...

As for me, I'd zip him, have him mounted and admire him daily, Oh and the venison bbq and bologna would be excellent as well...

Ive seen much much smaller mounted and he'd make a great first buck with your bow. Ive found that while hunting when you see a deer on the hoof you'll know. If I question it he gets a pass, if not I'm sending an arrow his way. Last weekend I had a buck come through at 20 yards, a 130 class eight with spit brows and good mass, from pics I wasn't sure to pass or not, on the hoof I found without question I was passing. Go with your gut instinct but thats a great first bow buck!

My first year bowhunting I wasn't concerned about what to pass on or any of that mumbo jumbo. I would've shot a unicorn if given the chance.
