Anyone has experience getting a young kid a left hand compound bow? I’m talking 5 years old. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes, my son is left-handed. I bought him a Diamond Edge when he was 8. It took to that age to be big enough to hold it. Left-handed options for kids younger than that are practically non-existent.
Thats what I'm seeming to find. My son just naturally wants to pull back his play bow with is left hand and I'd like to have him one so he's comfortable. My twins love shooting with the wife and I.
Have you checked with Genesis Bows? They do offer left hand bows. Also have reduced draw weights for kids. If your kids are still young enough you can train them to be right eye dominant. Have them wear an eye patch over their left eye for about a year and then start to slowly ween them off of the eye patch. I knew quite a few youth shooters that would do that.
The kid is too young, in this regard you need to be very careful I have seen a blog on list of crossbows for young kids, Crossbows' hunting in kids is good it will give the kid a sense of dedications and increase his focusing ability. ill just share it here. Thanks for the input. My kids will likely shoot a crossbow at some point to hopefully start hunting. I’d rather they learn to shoot an actual bow. They’re definitely not too young to shoot a vertical bow. It’s only for fun at this point while teaching basic techniques and safety. I’ve taught kids down to 3 how to shoot if you can hold their attention.
