Dang those little suckers hurt... I am currently sitting in the hospital right now with 6. 3 in my left kidney and 3 in my right. Had surgery and a stint put in yesterday to remove to two biggest ones in my right kidney. The biggest one was 4.6mm X 7.1mm. I'm only 19 years old and was shocked to have so many stones and big ones at that.
That sucks.... I had one 17 years ago...I finally passed it and brought it to the Doc...he could not believe I passed such a big stone ...
They do suck. Drink lots of water. Sadly, my personal best is a 12mm. I went through a several year period where i had kidney stones on a weekly/monthly basis. Very painful but i fear the stint more than any stone, especially a stint with no string.
I thought I was going to die.....they are no joke....add some lemon juice to your water....works wonders

Thanks guys! They are horrible... I would say it is by far the worst pain I have ever felt. I'm out of the hospital and back home but still pretty sore. Have to go back Monday and have the stent removed which I dread. Been drinking lots of water, I just hope it doesn't become a reoccurring ordeal. They say it is almost as bad a having a child, if that is true I got a lot more respect for women with children expesially if they have multiple children. The pain is absolutely brutal!
Don't blame you on hating hospitals brother! At least your reason for being there is a beautiful one. Congrats on your new daughter!!!
I've had four stones over the years and they SUCK! Yes...worst pain I've ever had too and I've nearly lost a finger to a chainsaw, had a broken wrist, multiple stitches after being hit over the head with a steel pipe, welder burn, welder burnt eyes, heat exhaustion, broken and separated ribs.
