Lebron left a 61 win team and went to a 47 win team to play with friends. Durant and his team blew a 3-1 series lead over GS and left his 55 win team to join that 73 win team that he had 3 chances to put away. If you fail to see how there is a difference there then I can't help you. Still, a chump move is a chump move, both moves were chump moves in my opinion. Durant's move is worse. I still think any good player bouncing around rather than rising up and making their team the better team is a chump move, regardless who it is. I understand if it's because they won't sign you back but you are still good enough to play so you sign somewhere else, that's completely different.

They were. I DID NOT want Cleveland to play them.

But a game is a game and anyone can win it. Its good drama.

I started having worries about the Cavs playing OKC as well. They were starting to peak and I'm not so sure the Cavs would have beat them, although I didn't think they would beat GS either.

Now if Wade signs with the Cavs, I would not call that a chump move. He's at the end of his career and Miami is doing what the Cavs did to LeBron when he was asking for players to make another run. LeBron carried his team and Wade doesn't want to have to do the same in Miami, he wants to play team ball which is what wins championships. It's like when Jordan played for the Wizards. Weird, but not a chump move.

I agree that Durant's move is more "weak" than LBJ's. What made LBJ's worse is the "decision".

It is different than the veterans because these dudes were in their prime and capable of winning where they were at.

What if Jordan would have signed with the Bad Boy Pistons.... Imagine that.

None of the moves Lebron, Shaq, KD, Garnett, Love, Malone...maybe Wade are chump moves in my opinion.

The only chump move in my opinion was the spectacle of The Decision...not him going to Miami, just what it became.

If you were a multimillionaire where would you rather live Oklahoma City or San Fransisco?

Well now KD will be able to find a exotic car dealership so he won't be driving some ugly van around.

LOL Sports is a career but it's hard to compare it to what the rest of us call a job. Bettering your career is one thing, leaving a company because YOU failed on a project is chump. No way around it.

Sheesh, thats some hard judgement. I didnt even hate on Favre for joining the Vikings and i have a shrine setup of him. A mans gotta do what hes gotta do. Just because they are really good at sports and have alot of money doesnt make them held to a different standard than anyone else.

Randy Moss joined up with the Patriots. Alex Rodriguez and crew joined the Yankees. Nobody wants to be a loser when millions are watching. I just dont see the big deal.

Then don't lose. Haha, just kidding (kinda). I guess I'm just the kind of person that feels if a team selects you - drafts YOU, you don't bail on them the way he did. LeBron leaving Cleveland, albeit he had every right to because they weren't adding any help at all, it's the circumstances and how he did it. "The Decision" was pitiful. Durant leaving the true better team last year after failing to put them away 3 games in a row is on HIM and HIS team. Like I said, I am ok with someone leaving a team, but when you leave a team as a result of your own failure it's a chump move. I don't see how calling it what it is as being unfair. It's about the circumstances.

Caleb some of the moves you are talking about involve guys that were traded not just picking the team that can give him a ring.

The guy can live his life anyhow he sees fit. If he doesn't want to live in Oklahoma anymore and feels comfortable living in Cali, have at it.

Would anyone fault a top notch lawyer for leaving his or her firm and going to the best law firm? No.

In this case it would be the second best law firm.

It's not the move of an Alpha mentality competitor, but KD has proven to not be that in the first place (Westbrook filled that role).

Not only that GS will be cutting ties with Barnes, Bogut, and Ezeli now. They are taking small ball to an all new extreme level (the reason they lost to the Cavs and were all but beat by OKC is because of small ball in the first place).

I'm not mad at KD for his move. I also see how GS can't afford to pass this chance up... That said, I think they are at BEST equal to this years squad, but I have a hunch they will end up slightly worse.

I read that the projected salary cap next year is going to be lower than the GSW thought, and that it will be all but impossible for them to keep Curry & Durant.

What if Durant is simply trade bait halfway through next season? They could get alot of cheaper/young talent for Durant.

Golden State can pay a luxury tax and keep both players.
