Kelty is a name synonymous with the outdoors and quality. Making tents, sleeping bags and just about anything you need to go camping. But did you realize they make packs for hunters as well. From a waist pack to meat hauler, Kelty has it. This review is about their daypack made of 600D polyester whisper cloth and decorated in Real Trees AP Green Camo called the Wrangell. With a total of 3000 cu in of space, measuring 24”X18”X13” and weighing only 4lbs 6oz this Kelty day pack has a lot of space and features. The features are many and I would like to start of with the one that I thought was very cool. There is a small pack attached to the front of the Wrangell that is detachable and can be used for a pack by itself. With several compartments and pockets it would suffice for most trips to the blind and short hikes. The pack is also supported by two removable lightweight aluminum stays that lend support to the Wrangell. Along with adjustable padded straps, a sternum strap and a padded waist belt that has water wicking pockets on it ensuring you have a pack that is not only comfortable but stable as well. This pack is also hydration compatible and also sports a blaze orange rain cover if needed. For the gun or bow hunter the Wrangell features a hide-away carry system, fleece line optics pocks water bottle pockets, zippered side pockets, key fob, compressions straps and now take a breath because there is more. Haul handle with adjustable buckle, bottom compression lash pads, removable padded wicking waist belt, back panel and shoulder straps, Sternum strap, belt stabilizer and scherer cinch. Wow! That is a lot of features to pack into a daypack/overnight pack. This pack lends versatility for not only hunting but, for fishing, hiking or since I love to take pictures will assist in getting your photo equipment to the woods and allow you to keep it with you along the way. To top off everything just mentioned Kelty gives you a lifetime warranty on this pack as well.
