How's everbody's season going so far? Seeing alot of good bucks on cam but not in person, most of my shooters are showing up before or after shooting light. Have some good ones on cam, trying to get one on the ground. This is a weird season seems like so far for me....
I would agree! I have multiple shooters one I've seen the rest been bad small dinks and does! And even the does have been down so far! I hope come shed season I don't find all my bucks dead! Good luck rest of the season
I saw more bucks on hoof on the 12th then I had in in the past two weeks and I hunt more then most do. I would say the rut has officiially start as of Monday! Had seven bucks chasing two does all around me for upwards of an hour. They made me tired just watching them! I to have had a strange season. I have seen a lot of little bucks and huge bucks and nothing really inbetween. This old buck I am chasing has me really scratching my head. Had him within range twice and couldn't kill him. I have had 3 encouters with him in over 20 sits... I am going to get back in there a couple more times this week. If I don't see him tomorrow evening then I am going to make a radical play into his bedding area! My fear is gun season is right around the corner. He will be dead or gone if I don't kill him before then!
Didn't see alot of bucks this year but ended up shooting a nice 8pt Nov 3rd in NE KS. There have been some pockets of EHD in my area.
