Yes, I am indeed female! I hunt in Iowa....I've done archery off and on for a long time and this year was my first hunting season. Looking to do a lot more learning on that end!
The one thing about archery hunting for deer you have to keep learning as long as you hunt, that is what makes it fun and obsessive. The quest to figure it out all off season we plot and plan and watch and we all can't wait for the season to start so we can implement our plan. The first sit of the year is like Christmas as a kid.
I greatly enjoyed myself this year, though I ended up empty handed. However, I learned a great deal and I'm hoping I can get some tips from here as well! I have already been grasped tightly by obsession...ready for more.
We were very busy this past season so didn't get out much. Saw one doe and a buck with a nice set of antlers, but we couldn't get close enough for a shot. So no venison in the freezer this year. Miriam was with us and enjoyed herself immensely. Next season, both girls will be able to go with us.
Haha, I was wondering if I would find a fellow mutant. Let's just say I am not exactly welcome there.
