mechanicals, such as the swacker are more foregiving and generally fly like fieldpoints. I shoot muzzys and have to have my bow well tuned. in order to get them flying right.

It doesn't matter what you shoot ... what matters is WHERE you shoot and how much you practice ... make sure your bow is tuned properly and shoot a TON!!!! Shoot your Broadheads as well and make sure you hunt with them scary sharp....

If you want cheaper broadheads get on basspro and look at all the redhead tips they have great reviews...What weight of bow and arrow do you use? what kind of bow do you use? If i knew these i could recomend a bh better. More KE you can use more mechanicals less and more fixed blades. Fixed blades penetrate more for lower poundage. BTW welcome to the bowhunting society!!!!!! ask lots of questions there are many great minds on this site and many experienced minds!

I would recomend a fixed blade broadhead, even a cut on contact broadhead like the montec cs or redheads cut on contact. those are amazing heads that penetrade very very well. I shoot montecs and they are very accurate. muzzys fly alright and penetrate very well. work on making the shots and you will kill a deer very easily. Practice practice! buck fever is somthing that you will have to experience too, its a great feeling having the deer withing sight coming right for you!! you will love it!! best of luck!!

Thank you for the info I'm not worried about buck fever. I've been the spotter/tracker scouting partner for my brother for years. But this will be my first bow season and I'm pumped scouting starts sat and can't wait. To throw some arrows thos year
