Cool stats! Can't imagine what the teeth of a 19 year old deer looked like.

Had a buddy that killed a 12 yr old buck. It was tagged as a fawn a few miles from where it was killed. Barely a tooth in his head and his rack looked like it hadn't dropped in at least a year. Lucky #13..

I would guess that is an average "NATURAL" average. Around here, I wouldn't think it would be much over 3yrs old with all the hunters we have now.

This is the Lenander Buck, taken in Tofte, MN. My Grandfather shot it. I currently have the head mount hanging in my basement and rifle in the gun safe. My Grandparents are the ones that shaped my love of the outdoors.

I had to read these several times. it's both true and false. Technically, Elk grow faster. But antler alike.

Here's a pic of the mount. Thought about having it re-done, but I think it would take away from the time it was shot. The stuff my Grandparents did amazes me to this day. Wish we had written it all down. They were in the Alaskan earthquake, lived on an island on rainy Lake (border of Minnesota and Canada), helped design and install the missile silos out west, Grandpa was in WWII under Patton, was shot by a 12 yr old kid in a small town in Germany, etc. They really taught me a lot.
