Well guys 2008 is offically over in Illinois for Steve and me, We just got back tonight. We saw several 1 1/2 year olds chasing everything in the fields and we came real close to a 140 and 160 but just couldn't seal the deal, The big boys were cruising from bedding to bedding areas with nothing else on there minds. Steve got caught standing up on the 140 Saturday morning and he starred for what felt like for ever before wagging his tail and walking into the bedding area and offering Steve a 50 yard shot but he passed because he said it didn't feel right and he thought the buck needed 1 more year. The 160 stopped just long enough to look while Steve called sweet nothings to him but he just looked and went on his way to the bedding area dumb does anyway!! Then the weather went to #$@$ and when a woke this morning to 30 MPH winds and rain and snow Steve said that was enough for him and we packed it up and that was the end of 2008 in Illinois leaving us with a ton of new memories and Steve filming my largest buck kill to date.. Good luck everyone and be safe!!Walt

Thanks guys!!! Yes they are the ones you think of till next year and next year should be rocking, We were missing alot of 120-130 class bucks this year I think to blue tongue. Seemed like we saw either 1 1/2 year olds or studs and we saw alot of both so next year should be rocking!! Good luck to all still out hunting.. Walt
