    Or is that infamous?

So what happens to everyone who watches WKP's Full Circle but has never been on HNI or BHC and asks, "What the hell is a big Rob buck?".

Thanks J and M for the plug.

Shultzy texted me today so I had to make a purchase for a keep sake. :deer:

Anyone see "The Three Amigos" with Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Chevy Chase? This scene popped right into my head when I read this.

"...help stop the infamous El Guapo..."
    "What's infamous?"
"That's when your more than famous. He's not just famous... he's infamous."
    "Infoamous? Infamous?"

    Great movie.

That beats me Rob. I wasn't even mentioned in my family's home movies.

Yes.. we did name a buck after our comrade Rob from PA.

We affectionately refer to him as Big Rob. He has 2 cameos in the new WKP video.

He's a stud.. and Illinois version of the typical Rob buck. Has a messed up left side and about a 60"+ right side as a 3 yr old.

As long as he made the winter.. I have a feeling he's gonna be made infamous next year alongside 1 of us.

Incidentally.. it was Dan the man Schafer who named him. He gets all the credit.. really.

Oh.. and Huntingson.. love that movie.. but the best part has got to be..
"Heffa, would you say we have a plethora of pinatas"... that whole scene is some good stuff right there.

When the name was first mentioned in those trailcam pics thread, I thought it was going to be a big version of a Rob buck. It certainly was!

He was pretty messed up on his left side, did he show any signs of injury Duke?

No.. no signs of injury Bols.

In fact.. that buck was one healthy SOB.. the piece we're hunting is basically a giant mountain of a hill and he would run up and down it constantly searching for hot does. You'd see him one morning down low along the creek.. then 1/2 a mile away in the afternoon (up hill). Then he'd go storming down the hill again.. looking for love.

Crazy he was. Never saw any buck be so active.

Sounds like he needs to lay off the iPod, the John Paul Young - Love Is In The Air, it's gonna kill him.

Every "Rob" buck I've taken I'm proud as heck to have taken. Only 1 of them was under 3.5 years of age and a trophy in my eyes and that 1 was shot on my birthday, a day I've always wanted to take a buck and score never came into the equation at that point. Here's the starring roles,

The Starter, almost 60" of antler on his left side, with a 16" spread he would have been a 130" 3.5 yr old. That lone side is a 10.5" brow with a snapped main beam right behind it. I honestly thought it was a spike side when I shot him. 04 Contest

I'm thankful for each of these bucks.
